'Welcoming' three moreheritage properties to its fold! -
These
three properties are Chalets Naldehra near Shimla,
Bijayniwas
Palace, near Ajmer and Hotel Calve in Puducherry. The
three properties are
located far apart and offer different moods and uniquely
different architectural
styles. Out of them, Chalets Naldehra and Hotel Calve
are operational.
Talking about the uniqueness of their properties, Rakesh
Mathur, president,
WelcomHeritage said, "I am very happy that we are
marking great footprints in
India. We have pioneered the heritage chain in India.
With the new additions,
WelcomHeritage has added a new property in historical
Puducherry, a palace
close to the holy temple town of Pushkar and the Chalets
Naldehra, near
Shimla. Now the total number of properties in the chain
moves up to 56. Our
search continues for locations in important tourist
destinations and in states
where we are yet to make a presence." Continuing with
the heritage tradition,
WelcomHeritage is offering Chalets Naldehra, near Shimla.
This property is
around 25 km away from Shimla. Naldhera is famous for
its golf course,
which is almost 100 years old and its scenic beauty.
They offer 19 log huts and cottage with a total of 34
rooms, a restaurant and a bar. Golfing, white water
rafting,
riding, trekking and fishing are the leisure activities
offered at the resort.
Bijayniwas Palace, which was built by Rao Bijay Singhji,
the erstwhile ruler of
Masuda, is located at Ajmer. This family heritage
property has been developed into
a resort and modern facilities like conferencing and
business meetings have
been given special attention. The palace consists of 18
rooms equipped
with modern amenities. The dining hall offers
Continental and Indian cuisine.
The holy town of Pushkar is 65 km away. Also, this
property is close to Sonkhla
Reservoir, which is the haunt of the Great Indian
Bustard. The third property, Calve, is located at
Puducherry, which is more than 150 years old. It belongs
to the era when the area was under French rule. This
heritage property is located at the Heritage Street and
the architecture of the bungalow is typically French.
The property's 11 rooms offer period furniture and soft
furnishings in keeping with its heritage status.
Continental cuisine includes popular French dishes,
along with Indian local cuisine. According to Mathur,
they will continue their push in India's North East
and are planning to get some new properties. In his
views this region has helped
them to open up lesser known areas and bring unexplored
destinations into the tourism circuit.
