WelcomHeritage Bijay Niwas was built almost a 100 years ago by Rao Bijay Singh the 16th descendant of the erstwhile Masuda ‘Istimrardari’ (a category higher than 'Jagirdars' of the then Rajputana). as a getaway retreat. About the same time he founded the town of Bijaynagar, also named after him.The history of Masuda royal family dates back to Rao Jagmal ( early 16th century ), the founder of the Mertiya clan of Rathore Rajputs, by far the most valiant of all rajput clan.
Well located between major tourist destinations like Jaipur-Udaipur, Jaipur-Jodhpur, Jodhpur-Sawai Madhopur, just over an hour from Pushkar-Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Todgarh/Raoli Sanctuary. Away from noise and pollution set amidst vast farms, orchards and rare trees. Very well laid out artistic building, a virtual art gallery, ideal for lunch stop-overs too. The palace is set over 50 acres of orchard and is a majestic heritage retreat along with being a stop over for visiting the great Indian bustard reserve at Sokhlia.
