This
beautiful and impeccably maintained bright red
250-year-old Nanak Shahi haveli of Rai Bahadur Rattan
Chand's lineage nestles on almost an acre on the
prestigious Mall Road in Amritsar. It is the first and
only holistic spa resort in the northern plains of
India. This haveli, which was run in the 19th and early
20th centuries as a guest house for visiting officials
from abroad, was a accustomed to being frequented by
royalty and eminent personalities. It is a haven of old
world charm for visitors to Amritsar, the Sikh holy city
of the Golden Temple. It is of course attractive by
itself too as a luxury heritage spa. |

Accommodation
In keeping
with its holistic spa approach, the accommodation
has been designed with full reference to 'vaastu'
for the right direction and flow of energy. Each
of the well-lit airy rooms is unique in colour and
character. They all have patios or balconies
overlooking the gardens.
Empire
Lounge: This plush lounge is luxurious and
inviting for the guest who wants to sink into a
sofa and read, the ones who might want to tax
themselves on the intricate sandalwood chessboard
or simply watch a movie. For the musically
inclined, there are also a Tabla, Harmonium,
Dholak and Piano available.
Mezzanine
library: This library houses an immense collection
of an entire assortment of titles.

lounge: This shop sells a collection of natural,
organic, eco-friendly, health conscious mind and
body products from creams to health foods and
including a handpicked optimum quality of dietary
supplements and nutraceuticals from across the
globe.
