Area Infomation_Grace_Hotel_Dharamsala

This hill town in Kangra valley, about 150 km from Mandi, has extremely clement weather in the summers, with warm mornings and cooler nights. It has heavy monsoon showers in July and August and the snowy winters are rather cold but it still tends to draw visitors through the year.

Home to the Dalai Lama and his Tibetan government in exile, it has a very large Tibetan settlement - distinct Tibetan architecture, prayer flags and golden roofed monastries can be espied climbing the hillside. The tranquil beauty of the region has also brought many settlers from the plains.
