The high peaks of Mahadeo, Bori's legendary teak and bamboo forests, fascinating natural beauty of deep valleys, high mountains, sacred places, water falls and Tawa's vast reservoir combine to give this place a unique beauty and breathtaking variety of attractions.

Located nearby are the Bhimbetka rock shelters with paintings that probably date back to more than 10,000 years, on the way to Bhopal, another culturally  and historically rich and scenic destination. The Buddhist stupas of sanchi complete a very rich tourist circuit.
