Nakki lake is surrounded by hills and parks. A major tourist attraction is the collection of rock formations named after animals that they very closely resemble!

Adhar Devi Temple
3 km north of the town, is an ancient Durga temple built in a natural cleft in a rock. The location offers excellent views of Mount Abu.

Around Abu
The Shiva Temple of Achaleshwar Mahandeva at Achalgarh lies 11 km north of Mt Abu and offers an excellent view of the plains. Guru Shikhar, 15 km from Abu is the highest point in Rajasthan at 1721m. Eight km from the town, the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary harbours panthers, sambars, wildboars and birds.
