This
delightful English cottage was formerly the official
summer residence of the Chief Minister of the princely
state of Mewar. Neat, compact and surrounded by
impeccably maintained gardens, the cottage is at walking
distance from the Nakki Lake and Mount Abu, but is most
valued for the repose and retreat it offers in itself. |

Mount
Abu, 185 km away from the city of Udaipur, is
Rajasthan's most popular, indeed only, hill
station. The temperatures are equally clement in
summers and winters in comparison to the rest of
Rajasthan that by and large suffers the extremes
of the desert climes. It is at an altitude of 1200
m and the entire hillside is covered with
coniferous trees and flowering shrubs.
